Key Challenges
Flooding throughout the project
Due to the bridges being located over creeks, all four sites were subject to flooding conditions throughout the project. We were required to innovate to keep the project progressing and constantly monitor the water levels to maximise opportunities to complete the works.
Comprehensive project delivery on a major regional project
With the four bridges located 30 minutes apart, our team were able to successfully manage resources across the multiple project sites. All aspects of the bridge construction and demolition were managed in house, utilising our extensive experience, plant, machinery and demolition license. This allowed our team to adapt where needed to avoid extensive delays during the flooding of the sites.
In-house self-performing expertise
Our ability to self-perform on this project allowed our team to manage all aspects of the bridge demolition and construction, including all the earthworks, protecting and relocating public utility services, permanent and temporary erosion and sedimentation controls and surface and subsurface drainage works.
