Key Challenges
The upgrades to the pool were completed during the winter closure period, to minimise disruption to the community.
Timely Delivery to Meet Community Needs
Hilltops Council required the works to be completed during the pool’s winter closure period to ensure reopening in time for summer. Delaney Civil carefully programmed and monitored the project to meet this tight timeframe. Despite the complexity of the works, the team exceeded expectations, delivering the upgraded pool ahead of schedule and allowing the community to enjoy the facility from the start of the season.
Efficient Coordination of Specialist Works
Delaney Civil coordinated closely with Aquatic Projects to deliver specialist filtration and pump installations. The completion of the new pool shed enabled timely installation of filters, pumps, and pipework. FRP works were completed across the concourse, shed slab, footpaths, and filter room, with all major works finalised ahead of schedule. The team also seeded and restored disturbed grounds, ensuring the site was clean and welcoming for reopening.
Inclusive Design That Supports All Users
A key feature of the upgrade was the installation of a pool hoist, designed to improve accessibility for all members of the community. The new hoist, platform lift, and aquatic wheelchair provide safe and inclusive access to the pool, supporting people with mobility challenges and enabling the local community to learn foundational swimming skills.
